Here are some pictures from running dry creek (see previous post). Taken on my phone.


Isn't that an inviting trail? Then, on my way down I ran into this friend:I was going fast enough that I couldn't stop by the time I saw him so I went right over the top. He almost scared me to death, just cooking in the middle of the trail.

    BLAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That is what I would have said. I HATE snakes. I hate them even more in the wild. Did I tell you about the snake we saw at the lake the other day? It was eating a fisherman's fish hanging off the side of the dock. We pointed it out as we approached the dock. The snake had ingested half of a huge fish, still on the line. It was so disgusting and horrifying. The fisherman looked over the side and said, "Hot damn, he got my crappie!" It was classic.
